At Ragged Blossom, gardens are designed with a balanced approach, through creatively integrating local and exotic plant species, appropriate materials based on locale, and by thoughtfully responding to the people and creatures who will inhabit them.

Inspired by the coastal heath of the southwest capes, the theme of resilience underpins every project. Recognising our rapidly changing climate, and the need to re-think how we use our most precious resource - water.
Like all landscapes, Ragged Blossom gardens will ebb and flow and evolve with you, providing a space to observe and learn, to rest and to connect.

Ragged Blossom is a nod to my namesake, from the May Gibbs children's story ‘Little Obelia and further adventures of Ragged Blossom, Snugglepot and Cuddlepie’. Thanks to my parents, I believe gumnuts probably featured more heavily in my childhood than most and with this came an early fascination for the natural world.

After growing up and completing my studies in Perth WA, I have since spent the past 10 years or so in the southwest where I've developed a deep love and appreciation for the rich flora of this place. My career so far has been a whirlwind adventure, with plants the common thread. From working in research and ecotourism to plant nurseries and productive gardens. I am fascinated by plants and delight in sharing this enthusiasm with others.

I am constantly inspired by the rugged and diverse landscapes of the south-west capes region. Naturally, I enjoy walking and exploring the vast trails which weave in and out of this unique pocket of the world. Like most gardeners, I also enjoy drinking tea and spending as much time as possible with my adoring rescue greyhound, Lanie.
